Ye Cracke – pronounced ‘The Crack’ – is a traditional 19th-century public house that will forever be associated with John Lennon. It was the college boozer when Lennon attended nearby Liverpool College of Art in the late 1950s and he took Cynthia Powell here on their first ‘date’. See the ABAB article for more about this (link below). If you’re a Beatles fan on the trail, you’ll want to pop in for a pint and a moment.

In any event, Ye Cracke is an unpretentious local, with a few references to its famous ex-customer and some nice artwork on the walls.
