Washington Old Hall is a charming 17th century manor house, with a long and interesting history.  It is also the site of the home of George Washington’s ancestors until the 13th century. So, if you’re on the trail of the 1st President of the United States, this might be on your list of places to visit – and of course this tiny village gave its name to the capital of the USA 🙂 .  There’s a little more to it than that – and there’s also a pleasant small garden and a nuttery.
