The image is a photo of the village of Hawkshead.  The National Trust looks after an extensive collection of Beatrix Potter’s illustrations, unpublished sketches and personal letters. Some of these are exhibited at the Beatrix Potter Gallery in Hawkshead. The gallery is in the 17th century building that were the former offices of her husband, local solicitor William Heelis. The exhibition is regularly changed.
