This is the house built by Robert Burns’ father, where Robert Burns was born in 1759. It consists of a kitchen, parlour, byre (cowshed) and barn and Burns lived here until he was seven. On Burns’ Night, a special celebration is held in the cottage. Well, you would, wouldn’t you? Combine a brief visit with a longer wander around the Robert Burns’ Museum, Alloway Old Kirk, Burns Monument and Brig o’ Doon.
