Predominantly a Jacobean House, once the site of the grand house occupied by the Treasurer to York Minster, and vastly refurbished in Edwardian style by industrial heir Frank Green. The interior is fascinating and allegedly haunted by (amongst others) Roman soldiers marching over the road over which the house was built. There is a small, charming, garden. The house is on the north side of the Minster.
