RACTON FOLLY

Racton is a once grand, but now much wrecked, ruined 18th century folly, purpose unknown, commissioned by the 2nd Earl of Halifax - after whom Halifax, Nova Scotia, is named.  It is in a very poor state of repair and is favoured by ne'er do wells and ghost hunters.  Paranormal groups have investigated reports of bricks being thrown out of upper windows, manic laughter, the ghostly apparition of a woman walking through the ruins, a disembodied face at a window, even a phantom tractor.  One group of investigators experienced eerie whisperings in their ears, and the sensation of being touched.

We don't believe any of it, do we, children?
