LOYN BRIDGE

Loyn Bridge is an impressive listed sandstone bridge that takes the minor road between Hornby and Gressingham across the River Lune.  It is thought that is replaced an earlier stone and timber bridge, but is of unknown date – the best guesses are anywhere between the late 16th and 18th centuries. It certainly looks old(!) and is single-track with triangular pedestrian passing places.  Astonishingly, it is apparently suitable for large HGVs.

It has no post code. The post code given is for Hornby.
