CLITHEROE CASTLE & MUSEUM

Clitheroe Castle houses a local museum dedicated to local history, folklore and geography located in the former castle steward's house (18th century). The small castle, probably dating from 12th century, is ruined but parts of the keep and inner curtain wall remain. There is a pleasant walk on castle mount and great views from the castle walls.
